Patients access the portal at the same URL as you (/portal). They see a completely different interface with access only to their own records.

18.1 What Patients Can Do

Feature Patient can
Appointments View upcoming and past appointments; cancel upcoming ones, but only outside your cancellation notice window (see Settings): inside it the cancel option is hidden and a note explains the required notice. Cancelled appointments appear in their own section showing who cancelled and why.
Booking Book a new appointment in your available slots (defaults to today's slots on first visit). The slots offered respect your booking notice window and your minimize-gaps setting (see Settings), and only slots the server actually offers can be booked.
Messages Read messages from you; send replies
Invoices View invoices and download receipts
Documents Preview PDFs and images in the app, or download any file you have shared with them
Profile View their details; edit phone number and WhatsApp notification preference

The portal fully supports Hebrew (RTL layout) for patients whose Patient.locale is set to Hebrew. You can set it on the patient's edit page, and patients can switch it themselves at any time from the Language selector on their portal profile.

18.2 What Patients Cannot See

  • Your session notes (ever — this is enforced at the API level)
  • Other patients' data
  • Your expenses, analytics, or settings
  • Draft invoices (only sent/paid ones)

18.3 Inviting a Patient to the Portal

From the patient's detail page, click Invite to portal. This sends them an email with a unique sign-up link (valid for 7 days). The patient clicks the link, sets a password, and can then log in.

A patient can also self-register via the public Request an appointment link on the login page. Their registration will appear in the Pending tab and requires your approval before they can access the portal.
