Block out periods when you are unavailable. This prevents patients from booking appointments during your absence and automatically cancels any existing appointments that fall within the blocked period.
Go to Leave & Closures → Block this time.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Start time | When your leave begins |
| End time | When your leave ends |
| Reason | Internal label (visible only to you, e.g. "Annual leave", "Conference") |
When you save, any SCHEDULED or CONFIRMED appointments that overlap with the leave period are automatically:
CANCELLED)Important: This action cannot be undone for the cancelled appointments. The leave block itself can be deleted, but the appointments remain cancelled.
If you only want to block time — not cancel anything — use Blocked Time instead. Leave is for being away; it cancels sessions and messages those patients. Blocked Time occupies your calendar and stops new bookings, but cancels nothing and notifies nobody.
Leave stops patients booking during the period, and it appears on your calendar (week view and the app's Schedule tab) so you can see the day is blocked. It does not group bookings around it — see Minimize Gaps in Settings.
All future leave blocks are listed on the Leave & Closures page. Click the Remove button to delete a leave block (this does not restore cancelled appointments).
